The fussin' 'n' feudin' between the Tollivers and the Calhouns are making things difficult for Emmy Lou, a Tolliver, and Lee Roy, a Calhoun. The tale of the 200-year old conflict even appears in the scandalous newspaper "Strange But True." Two competing New York publishing houses send agents to sign the conflicting families to book deals. Mind you, itís not easy traveliní to the town of Lonesome Polecat. And once you get there, its colorful characters will throw anyone for a loop! Take folks like Ruby Perkins, who not only is a whiz at terrible jokes, but she knows how to catch a husband. And just wait ítil you and your audiences are introduced to Maw Tolliver and her daughters, Petunia and Dulcy. Whoa! Watch out for Bubba and Goober! Then catch Paw Calhoun confusin' Shirley Temple with Rin Tin Tin the Wonder Dog. Talk about fun, hysterics and a show full of foot-stompiní tunes! Yeeeeee.....hah!!! (Also available as a two-act musical.)
